i have a 12 hour drive coming up in a couple days, and i’m trying to get as much done as possible before i leave. i’ll be back next wednesday, and hopefully return to a normal sketching/art routine.
speaking of sketching, i asked for suggestions last weekend. i didn’t get a chance to sketch, but i did pick two suggestions to draw. i’ll keep you posted on that!

so, i’m happy to announce that i’m doing a test run of a comic idea in the weekly paper, the durango telegraph. this is my first real attempt at a comic strip series, and it needs some refining, but we’ll see how it goes (it’s loosely based on childhood memories). thanks to the awesome folks at the telegraph, and thanks to my tumblr friends for “cheching it out!”
Been a whole lot o’ Adventure Time watchin going on in Cookieland as of late.
there has been a whole lot o’ AT watching at our house. last night, after a day full of episodes, my roommate turns around from his sketchbook and says, “dude, hey…i made you the ice king.” flippin’ awesome.
(edit: cookieland is what we named our house when we moved in)
